Ex "Bigg Boss" Sensation Arshi Khan Resigns Congress Political Party

Ex Bigg Boss 11 contestant Arshi Khan has announced her resignation from the Congress party. Arshi Khan joined the national political party early this year

Arshi Khan took to her social media pages to make the announcement. In a statement, she mentioned that she was unable to invest time in politics due to her professional commitments.

“Given my increasing assignments in entertainment, it is no longer possible for me to participate actively in politics. I hereby tender my resignation to the Indian National Congress”, she said.

She further added, “I will continue to love my country and commit to social causes & philanthropy and stand for justice for socially marginalized sections of the society. There are no other reasons for my resignation than my professional commitments in upcoming movies, web series and music video productions.”

“I look forward to leaving a strong imprint as an actress and entertainer in Indian cinema and I thank you for all your love and support,” Arshi Khan concluded.

Arshi Khan rose to prominence due to her videos, images, and comments on her social media discussing her daily routine and various controversial issues.

Arshi recently appeared on Rajeev Khandelwal's talk show Juzzbaat and seemed apologetic about the entire controversial episode.

She shared, "I respect Mr. Afridi a lot. He has done a lot for me. That tweet was a mistake and I should not have addressed him openly about such sensitive issues. Afridi Sahaab ke bahut ehsaan hai mujh par."

During her appearances on the show, she was Google India’s second-most searched entertainer of 2017. On 28 February, Arshi joined Indian National Congress party for the 2019 elections where she will be the representative from Mumbai and will contest in it.

Bigg Boss Hindi fame Arshi Khan has now turned a music video producer. Arshi is going to produce, direct and also act in the upcoming video song.
