6-Year-Old Contestant Rupsa Batabyal Wins Reality Dance Show "Super Dancers Chapter 3"

Her mother revealed during an interview that before participating in the show, Rupsa Batabyal had a very reserved nature and she didn’t like to mix up with the people but her behavior changed when she participated in the "Super Dancer".

The Super Dancers Chapter 3 finale contestants were Rupsa Batabyal, Tejas Verma, Gaurav Sarwan, Saksham Sharma, and Jayshree Gogoi. Finally, the 6-year-old little dancer from Kolkata city Rupsa Batabyal won the reality dance show. Close on her heels was contestant Tejas Verma from Mumbai who was declared as the runner up.
The Super Dancers Chapter 3 contestants performed with their mentors performed for one last time on the platform making it a night to remember. Judges of the dance reality show Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Geeta Kapoor and Anurag Basu with the hosts Rithvik Dhanjani and Paritosh Tripathi highlighted some great moments they experienced in the entire journey of the show.
Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty Kundra performed Bharatnatyam for the first time on television. Actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek set the mood of the evening with his impeccable comic timing to Dharmesh Sir and Raghav Juyal cheering the contestants.
After winning the show, Rupsa said, "It feels really nice and I am very happy to have won the trophy of Super Dancer Chapter 3. I will continue dancing because I love it. I look forward to going home, to Kolkata, and celebrating with my entire family."
In 2018, Rupsa auditioned for the Sony Entertainment television’s dance reality show Super Dancer 3 and got selected for the show. Her dance mentor in the show was choreographer Nishant Bhat.
Her dance style is Bollywood. Batabyal with her spectacular dance performances has earned the appreciation of the audience and the judges of the show. She has even earned the moniker of the "Queen of Thumkas" for her power-packed moves and groves.
Rupsa's mentor, Nishant Bhatt said, "I still remember when I was paired with Rupsa, I was perplexed. She is only 6 years old. So it proved to be a learning ground for me - from becoming friends with her to identifying her strengths as a dancer to working according to her moods, to building that chemistry together and many other things. It took time, but I am glad we could establish a bond. She doesn’t speak much, but her dancing does all the talking. She is a gifted child and extremely hardworking. I wish her the best in all that the future holds for her!".
Show's judge Shilpa Shetty Kundra was elated after Rupsa's victory. She said, "She deserves this victory. The way she performed week after week was really incredible. I am blessed that as judges, we could become a catalyst in her journey."
Geeta Kapoor said, "I am the happiest right now as her journey and her hard work has paid off. I just want her to be happy and continue what she is doing right now as she is too small to be pushed at something specific. She needs to enjoy what she is doing."
And lastly, director Anurag Basu said, "Rupsa is a versatile dancer who has tried all different types of dance forms on this platform. Honestly, her journey has just begun."
Rupsa Batabyal Bataalong with her super guru Nishant Bhatt were awarded the prestigious trophy and a cheque of 15 lakhs (Rupsa) and 5 lakhs (Nishant), respectively. Each finalist was awarded a certificate of appreciation along with the cheque of 1 lakh each. Additionally, the Top 5 finalists were awarded a cheque of 1 lakh each from a sponsor.
