The hit teen drama 13 Reasons Why returns with its final and most-awaited season on June 5, officially closing the dark chapters about Liberty High’s legacy of trauma. In an interview with TVLine, actor Devin Druid who plays the role of Tyler Down gave the public some explanations about the final part of the show. He firstly thanked Netflix to give them the chance to produce more seasons and have an actual ending. The actor also expressed his gratefulness towards the giant streaming service that helped the film reach more audiences across the world.

Season 4 of the show is not only shorter than the previous ones with 10 episodes compared to the familiar 13 as usual but also “more of a departure” according to Devin.

He said,

The final season is “more of a departure from the other seasons, which had a central catalyst that motivated the characters. This season just takes a look at everything these characters have gone through, and the story comes from how they react to all of that. So it kind of goes the opposite way, which I think is really fun.”

13 Reasons Why season 4 forces every character to confront what they have done. For Tyle (Devin) himself, facing the past also means taking responsibility for it.

The actor also spilled the beans on how the story of Tyler will play out in the final season. He revealed that Tyler does not always arrive at wise decisions but the most important thing is that he is the first one who starts righting his wrongs.
