The late Revolutionary Guard commander of Iran was named Maj. Den. Qassem Soleimani who was revered in his home country and the mastermind behind several conflicts.

The Iranian government has recently granted an arrest warrant and called for assistance from Interpol in detaining the US’s President Donald Trump and other alleged relevant individuals in killing a military commander of Iran this year.

However, Trump carries no threat of being arrested and the new charges show further evidence that the tension between the two countries has been showing no signs of subsiding.

Arrest Warrant
The tension between two countries is higher than ever

The late Revolutionary Guard commander of Iran was named Maj. Den. Qassem Soleimani who was revered in his home country and the mastermind behind several conflicts within the region and even against the US. Of course, most Americans hadn’t known about him until he was killed by a U.S drone strike taking Baghdad on 3 January.

According to the report, the officials of Iran wanted Soleimani’s killing has been charged with terrorism and murder acts.

"At the top of the list is US President Donald Trump, and his prosecution will continue even after the end of his term."

Talking about the number of people involved in this case, the report has it that,

"Iranian media quote Tehran's prosecutor general as saying 36 people are being sought in connection with Soleimani's killing."

Meanwhile, France-based Interpol didn’t respond to the request of the arrest warrant immediately even when Iran submitted it with a “red notice.” After getting the request, Interpol met by the committee and discussed whether should they share the information with other member states or not.

Interpol also has no requirement for making public notices but some were already published on its website.

For those who are unversed, the killing incident came after several months of tension between Iran and the United States. What do you think about this arrest warrant from Iran? Let us know!
