In normal life, Minato-san is a male office worker who has a steady nine-to-five job. Off-duty, he is a cosplay enthusiast. Recently, he made headlines and stunned one and all with his incredible transformation into a heroine in his favorite anime.

It would not be an overstatement to say great cosplayers are able to alter their appearance perfectly. However, not everyone can do so, in some cases we can see the scary changes.

The case of Minato

The 30-year-old man living in Japan has a big passion for cosplay and he especially likes transforming himself into anime girls. We can easily guess one’s gender by looking at them but it’s not the case of Minato.

Making up as a master, using many modern accessories including prosthetic br.e.a.s.t.s and digital manipulation, he can make our mind blow when transforming into a new person. Minato always leaves many people confused.

The beginning

The fact is that his fascination with cosplaying female characters started about 4 years ago. He had always been obsessed with the idea of turning himself into his favorite female anime character. One day, he decided to make an appointment at a Tokyo-based beauty salon to see his look with makeup.  Turned out, he pretty liked the result. That’s why Minato started learning makeup.

Even though makeup is half the battle, it’s just only one part of the process. In order to alter his facial features, he also uses wigs, contact lenses, women’s stockings, and silicone-made prosthetic b.r.e.a.s.t.s.

The reaction of the media

Needless to say, Minato-san’s transformation grabbed eyeballs and caught the attention of mainstream media in Japan. His before-after picture quickly went viral.
