Cristiano Ronaldo Officially Tests Positive, Dropped Out Of Portugal Team Against Sweden

Yesterday, fans of the King sports worldwide had a sleepless night when the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo had his test result and it said 'positive'. That means he wouldn’t be able to join the national squad in upcoming matches.

To be specific, the news was confirmed by Portuguese soccer federation on October 13 night by Indian time. The organization ensured fans that their idol was doing well and showed no symptoms of Covid-19. Cristiano Ronaldo luckily falls into asymptomatic cases. Accordingly, the superstar would follow strict isolation schedule of at least 14 days. His name is omitted from the Portugal squad against Sweden in their Nations League.

Before having the positive test result, Cristiano Ronaldo used to post a photo of his team having meal together on Monday. All players sit close to each other without wearing mask.

In their announcement, the Portuguese soccer federation also affirmed that all their players in the national squad were subject to another round of tests even when other people than CR7 tested negative in this round.

Reacting to the news, many fans slam the federation for not releasing specific details on Ronaldo’s case such as where and how long he would stay in isolation. Before that, there were controversies as CR7 and some other players from Juventus canceled their isolation in this club to join national teams. All the Juventus players had to isolate themselves after 2 staff members here tested positive earlier.
