Vikram Prabhu To Headline 'Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku'

Vikram Prabhu is trying his best to join the big league in Tamil cinema, by doing films which are not only content-driven but also have great commercial value. The actor, who made his silver screen debut with Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki (2012) and then went on to star in such notable films as Ivan Veramathiri (2013) and Vellaikaara Durai (2014), has been impressing audiences with his impeccable acting skills since the very beginning of his career.

His family also owns a production house which has been named as Sivaji Productions. His uncle Ramkumar Ganesan is a well-known producer having several blockbusters on his resume. The actor is currently riding high on the humongous success of his film Vaanam Kottattum (2019), which was produced under Mani Ratnam’s production house Madras Talkies. Vikram Prabhu, who is the grandson of actor Sivaji Ganeshan and son of actor Prabhu Ganeshan, has signed yet another interesting film.

Yes, you heard it right! Vikram Prabhu is all set to collaborate with debutante director Karthik Chowdary for his next offering. Titled Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku, the forthcoming movie will be produced by Maha Mahalakshmi Arts’ Kumaraswamy Pathikonda. The shooting of the film is expected to commence in April this year. The music of the film will be handled by debutant Mahati Swara Sagar, son of the popular music director Mani Sharma.

While the remaining cast of the film is yet to be revealed, the technical crew consists of cinematography by Suresh Bhargav, a former associate of Balu Mahendra and editing by National Award-winner Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Meanwhile, Vikram Prabhu will be next seen in Mani Ratnam’s much-talked-about magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan and action crime thriller Asuraguru directed by Raajdheep. Ponniyin Selvan is currently being shot in Thailand. It also stars Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and others.
