The Times of India has recently unveiled Top 50 Most Desirable Men of 2018, and the Telugu-turned-Bollywood star Harshavardhan Rane grabbed the number 33 spot on the list.
Harshavardhan Rane has carved a niche for himself by giving some stellar performances in both Telugu and Bollywood films such as Sanam Teri Kasam, Thakita Thakita and Avunu. To help you get to know more about the handsome actor, we have rounded up some interesting facts about him below!
His Early Life
Harshavardhan Rane was born in Rajahmundry on 16 December 1983. The actor struggled a lot during his early days. Harshavardhan disclosed that when he was 16 years old, he ran away from his home in Gwalior with just 100 rupees in his pocket.
His Career
Harshvardhan began his acting career with TV series show Left Right Left alongside Rajeev Khandelwal in 2008. Talking about his first acting opportunity, the actor recalled,
Harshavardhan then realized that he wanted to see himself not just on TV but also on the big screens. The handsome actor made his Telugu film debut by playing the male lead in the 2010 comedy Thakita Thakita.
Following the success of the film, Harshvardhan went on to act in Avunu, Maaya, Prema Ishq Kaadhal among many others and received positive responses from the audiences and critics for his performances.
Like many his Telugu colleagues, the four-consecutive-year Top 50 Most Desirable Men lister also wanted to try his luck in Bollywood and made his debut in romantic-drama Sanam Teri Kasam. Talking about how he bagged his first Bollywood film, the actor shared that when he approached the director duo Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao for the lead in the movie, the role was already taken up, however, after seeing his video, the director chose him for the part.

He was romantically linked to badminton player Jwala Gutta. However, the two both denied the reports.
While he has worked in both Telugu and Bollywood, Harshavardhan claims that he will not discriminate and differentiate between these two industries.
