Nayanthara plays an extremely challenging character in “Kolaiyuthir Kaalam”. Besides her, we also see Bhumika Chawla and Prathap Pothen essaying important roles in the Chakri Toleti directorial venture.

The forthcoming Tamil film Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, starring female superstar Nayanthara in the lead role, has locked the date for its theatrical release. Helmed by famed South Indian filmmaker Chakri Toleti, the mystery thriller is set to enter theatres on 14th June.

Nayanthara, who was last seen in the recently released comedy entertainer Mr Local (2019), plays an interesting character in Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, which is a woman-centric film. The actress essays the role of a mute and deaf girl who is stuck in a building with a deadly villain.

Though it is not official, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is said to be an adaptation of popular Hollywood film Hush (2016), starring Kate Siegel as the female protagonist. Besides Tamil, the movie will have its Hindi remake also. Gorgeous actress Tamannaah Bhatia is playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of the film.

Fans are happy to know that there is not going to be a long gap between Nayanthara’s last and next film. Ever since the makers announced the official release date of the much-awaited film on social media, fans have been going gaga over the news.

Recently, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam ran into a controversy when well-known senior actor Radha Ravi, who was one of the guests at the audio launch of the film, made a string of misogynistic remarks against Nayanthara. However, keeping everything aside, the makers are now gearing up to release the much-awaited movie.

Kolaiyuthir Kaalam has been produced by musician Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. The film marks the first production venture of Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is also the first Tamil production for Pooja Entertainments' Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh.

Besides Nayanthara, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam also features some incredible actors on its star cast, including Prathap Pothan, Bhumika Chawla and Rohini Hattangadi. Don’t forget to catch the film in cinemas on 14th June 2019.
