Bollywood superstar Suniel Shetty is all set to make a comeback in Kollywood with none other than superstar Rajinikanth's next movie Darbar. It's been almost two decades since Suniel Shetty had made his Tamil debut. His first Tamil film was 12B in 2001.
Directed by the ace director AR Murugadoss, Suniel is playing the main antagonist in the film. The shooting had already started in April and currently, the unit is on a schedule-break. Earlier there were reports that Prateik Babbar would take the role of the main antagonist but the new development says that Prateik Babbar is acting as Suniel Shetty's son. Suniel Shetty will play the character of Anna in the film.
While Rajinikanth would be seen as an IPS officer, he would be seen as a corporate giant. And the movie will be a high-intensity action-packed cat and mouse between the two characters. And if we go with the looks of the actor, Suniel Shetty has been bulking up to look like a giant villain in the flick. As per the reports, the director is prepping up for a breathtakingly action-packed fight sequence between Suniel Shetty and Rajini Sir.
With a recent dip in Bollywood projects, the actor, on the contrary, seems like signing a lot of south projects. He had just completed the shoot of the big budget, VFX heavy, Marakkar: Arabi Kadalinte Simham with another South superstar Mohanlal. The film is helmed by Priyadarshan and is under post production. Another Telugu film, Pailwaan directed by S Krishna is all set to hit the screens by August 9th.
Darbar is produced by Lyca Productions. Other actors like Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, and Dalip Tahil will also share screens with Thalaivar Rajinikanth and Suniel Shetty. Behind the lens would be the legendary cinematographer Santosh Sivan and the movie is going to be edited by award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad.
