Suniel Shetty To Don A Villainous Avatar For Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa”

Suniel Shetty, one of the most prominent Bollywood action stars from the 1990s, has started working actively in movies again. His fans are definitely happy to see him more often on the screen. The best part about his second inning is that not only in Bollywood but the actor is taking up exciting projects down South also.

Suniel Shetty was most recently seen in director A. R. Murugadoss’ Tamil action thriller Darbar (2020), co-starring Thalaiva Rajinikanth and Nayanthara. The latest we hear that the actor has now joined the star cast of Allu Arjun’s forthcoming Telugu film Pushpa.

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun announced Pushpa recently on the occasion of his 37th birthday. Apart from announcing the title, the makers also dropped the first-look poster of the multilingual movie which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

According to fresh reports, Suniel Shetty has been signed on to play the lead antagonist in the forthcoming venture. The makers had apparently met the actor in Mumbai in January and gave him the narration. Shetty, reportedly, liked his character and the overall script and gave his nod to the project. However, the makers are yet to officially confirm the development.

Suniel Shetty might start shooting for Pushpa in Hyderabad once the lockdown imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic is lifted. As far as the rest of the star cast is concerned, we hear that popular Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi also plays an important role in the film. Reportedly, his character will have grey shades. Leading Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play Allu Arjun's romantic interest.

Pushpa will be directed by Sukumar. Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media are jointly producing the action entertainer. More details are expected to arrive once the lockdown is lifted.
