Shraddha Kapoor To Pair Opposite Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu?

Shraddha Kapoor, who is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, made her Tollywood debut with superstar Prabhas’ big-ticket action entertainer Saaho (2019). Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho received poor critical response from critics, but the film managed to do superbly well at the box-office, surprising several trade pundits.

After the release of Saaho, Shraddha Kapoor busied herself with her Bollywood projects. However, if recent reports are to be believed, the actress is set to star in another Telugu film. Yes, you read it right! Reportedly, Shraddha Kapoor will romance superstar Mahesh Babu in his upcoming film with director Parasuram.

A few days ago, rumours were doing the rounds that the makers of the yet to be titled film had approached Mahanati (2018) actress Keerthy Suresh to play the female lead. However, fresh reports state that Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor is about to come onboard the project to essay the part. The makers are apparently in talks with the successful actress for the untitled thriller. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

If sources are to be believed, the makers will officially announce the film after the Coronavirus lockdown is lifted. If Shraddha Kapoor goes ahead with the project, it will mark her second outing in Tollywood after Saaho with Prabhas. Meanwhile, both Mahesh Babu and Shraddha Kapoor are currently practising social distancing at their respective homes amid the lockdown.

Apart from this said project with director Parasuram, Mahesh Babu has also joined hands with acclaimed filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli for an untitled film. The project is expected to go on floors towards the end of 2021. Rajamouli will start working on the film only after finishing his ongoing project RRR with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. Also starring Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in important cameos, RRR is slated to arrive in cinemas on 8^th January, 2020.
