Priyamani also confirmed her association with the official Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Asuran (2019). The film features superstar Venkatesh in the role played by Dhanush in the original.

The actress has also wrapped up her much-awaited Kannada film Doctor 56, which will hit the marquee in Tamil as well. Apart from her several South Indian movies, the actress plays lead roles in such Hindi projects as Family Man 2 and Bollywood film Maidaan.

Priyamani is making her Bollywood debut with Maidaan. Directed by Amit R Sharma, the much-awaited sports drama features superstar Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Earlier, National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh was set to make her Hindi film debut with Maidaan. However, she walked out of the project later, which led the makers to sign Priyamani in the lead role. The next schedule of Maidaan will commence right after the lockdown gets lifted.

Apart from Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi and Priyamani, Virata Parvam 1992 also stars talented actress Nandita Das in an important role. The film marks her return to Telugu films after a long gap of a decade. The movie revolves around the Naxal movement, specifically the moral dilemma that prevailed during the last decade.
