Boney Kapoor Lodges Complaint Against Priya Prakash Varrier’s Controversial Film "Sridevi Bungalow"

Priya Prakash Varrier today comes to defense of her controversial film title Sridevi Bungalow.

Priya Prakash Varrier is all set for the release of her first film which marks her debut in Bollywood, Sridevi Bungalow. The film, however, in water trouble as its title is stirring up controversy among moviegoer. In detail, the film title was similar to Bollywood actress legend Sridevi, who passed away last year in a tragic death. In the latest occurrence, Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor lodged a legal notice to the film producer over its title and film’s content.

When asked about her take on the current scenario, Priya Prakash Varrier said:

The suspense thriller film centralizes the life of an iconic actress who at the sneak peek of her career but lives a miserable lonely life. As the first official trailer gave a glimpse of the plot detail, she passed away in her bathtub. The film’s storyline which quite similar to Sridevi’s death is now receiving criticism from Sridevi’s fan.

Sridevi bungalow director in response to the controversy said:

Priya Prakash Varrier recently appeared on Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike. A close source leaked that she will play a role in Karan Johar’s film which stars Ranveer Singh.
