Prashanth Varma Stops "Awe" Schedule To Make A Film Of Coronavirus?

Earlier, Prashanth Varma was reported to kick-start filming his project titled "Awe" but now he has changed to a new script related to the hot topic these days: Coronavirus.

Telugu director Prashanth Varma is now reported to helm a new film of coronavirus. He reached out the fame after his directorial Awe won the National Film Awards and was about to work on its sequel. However, he decided to skip the plan of the project to start a completely new script. Earlier, there were some reports stating that there would be a Bollywood movie of coronavirus titled "Corona Pyaar Hai".
We all know that the world is heading the news about COVID-19 and all the media have been reporting the same. As per the report, Prashanth will take the background of the Indian central for his film of coronavirus. The filmmaker has been currently researching more information about the subject.
He planned to kick-start filming it from April and even worked on the set of pre-production. But due to the present situation of the pandemic over the world, his plan of a film of coronavirus had to be pushed back.
During a recent interview with a leading daily, Prashanth revealed his work on the sequel to Awe. He shared:
"Yes, it is officially in the works. I'm ready with the script. We intend to take the Awe franchise forward with the sequel. Awe 2 is going to be completely different. The screenplay and storyline will be heavy and intriguing. Unlike part one, which had multiple stories running parallel, this film will have just one story. But rest assured, this film will be a crazy experiment, something that has never been explored in Tollywood before."
At the same time, Nani who turned to be a producer with Awe claimed that the film added a new genre to Telugu films, which was a good chance to develop the regional film industry. Awe featured various movie genres with the excellent performances of the star cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Nithya Menen, and Avasarla Srinivas.
