Nithiin, one of the most popular actors working in Tollywood, went on to make his silver screen debut with the film Jayam (2002). The movie emerged as a blockbuster and set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Nithiin has carved a niche for himself in Tollywood since then.
Though he also tried his hands at production and produced Akhil (2015), featuring debutant Akhil Akkineni, the movie did not live up to the expectations of the audience and sank at the cash counter. However, Nithiin has been entertaining audiences with some of his spectacular performances. He was last seen in the movie Gaddalakonda Ganesh (2019), though in a guest appearance.
And now, the actor is all set to step into the shoes of Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana in the Telugu remake of superhit Hindi film Andhadhun (2018), which went on to win National Awards for its gripping storytelling and spectacular performances. Popular producer Sudhakar Reddy, who is the father of Nithiin, has acquired the remake rights of the film for a whooping price. Merlapaka Gandhi has been roped in to helm the remake.
Talking about the remake, Nithiin recently said that it is a risky project because the original film has been seen by many people on the OTT platform. It also won a National Award. He further went on and said that they are under pressure not to spoil the Telugu version of the film, but they want to go with it because of the content.
Nithiin will be next seen in the forthcoming Telugu film Bheeshma opposite Rashmika Mandanna. The actor has also signed a film with versatile director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, starring Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady. He also has Rang De on his platter, opposite the National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh.
