Nayanthara Charges A Hefty Paycheque For “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”

Nayanthara is one of the most popular actresses in the South Indian film industry. Known for her sterling performances in several Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, the talented actress is currently awaiting the release of her much-awaited film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a period drama which stars Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The teaser of the hotly anticipated film was unveiled a couple of days ago, which set the internet on fire within hours of going online.

The teaser received overwhelming response from all corners of the country. It impressed everyone with its jaw-dropping action sequences, august sets, elaborate costumes and breathtaking visuals.

Besides Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Tamannaah, Ravi Kishen, Kichcha Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathi, amongst others.

Nayanthara is playing the important character of Siddhamma, wife of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, in the film.

Rumours are doing the rounds in the South Indian industry that Nayanthara has a prominent role in the film and hence she has charged a hefty amount as her remuneration.

Ram Charan, who is the producer of the film, has reportedly paid a whopping amount of approximately ₹ 5 crore to the actress for work in the film.

Now, this is indeed a huge figure. Isn’t it? If Nayanthara has indeed been paid ₹ 5 crore, she will become one among the highest-paid actresses in the country. She is already one of the highest-paid actresses down South.

Apart from Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Nayanthara will also be seen in Bigil opposite Vijay and Darbar opposite Thalaiva Rajinikanth.

Besides several popular South Indian languages, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will also release in Hindi. The Hindi release rights of the film have been acquired by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. The film releases on 2^nd October, 2019.
