Naga Chaitanya To Turn Producer With A Romantic Entertainer

Naga Chaitanya, who was last seen in Telugu film Venky Mama (2020), currently has two projects on his platter: Love Story by Sekhar Kammula and an untitled film with director Parasuram. The latest we hear that the handsome Tollywood star has added yet another film to his filmography, but there is a big twist.

Reportedly, Naga Chaitanya is turning to film production with the said project. A couple of days ago, several media outlets reported that actor Raj Tarun and director Srinivas Gavireddy of Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu (2016) were gearing up to join forces for a film. It looks like the project has now got the backing of Naga Chaitanya who has decided to bankroll it.

According to reports, the yet to be titled film will be a romantic entertainer. It will mark the debut of Naga Chaitanya as a producer. The actor had been thinking of turning to production for quite a long time. However, he just could not take the plunge because of his acting commitments and also the lack of a suitable script.

However, Chaitanya feels that Srinivas Gavireddy’s script has all the ingredients of a sure shot box-office hit and hence, he has decided to produce the film. A source close to the development informs a publication that Naga Chaitanya believes that this film will him give him a great opportunity to test the waters in production.

It will be interesting to see whether he bankrolls the film under his home banner, Annapurna Studios. The source goes on to add that not many know that Chaitanya has excellent command over production. Having been raised in a film background and having been to the sets of several of his father’s (Akkineni Nagarjuna) films, he has a firm understanding of the nuances of production.

As mentioned above, Raj Tarun will play the male lead in the film. Well-known actress Avika Gor has been roped in as the female lead of the movie.
