"My Father Told Me That Kissing Was Best", Nagarjuna On Kissing Scene From "Geethanjali"

"Geethanjali" was starring Girija Shettar, the film's music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Geethanjali was a superhit Telugu language romantic film of Nagarjuna written and directed by Mani Ratnam. The South Star Akkineni Nagarjuna and Girija Shettar were in the lead roles of the film.

The most exciting part of the film was the kissing scene between Nagarjuna and actress Girija. The actor who is all set for his upcoming blockbuster Manmadhuru 2 opened up in an interview about his kissing in the film Geethanjali.

South Superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna has been promoting his upcoming film, Manmadhuru 2. During a recent interaction, Nagarjuna opened up about the most famous kissing scene from the film and his father's reaction to it.

Speaking about it, he said, "I thought the Board will take a very conservative stance." Speaking about his father's reaction, Nag added, "Before the show started, I told my father that there is a long, unbroken kissing scene that is very aesthetic. After the show, he told me that's the best scene in the movie that is very aesthetic. After the show, he told me that's the best scene in the movie. He also assured me that no Censor Board member will remove that scene if ever he or she loved anybody."

Geethanjali was starring Girija Shettar, the film's music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film not only became an overnight success but went on to win the National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and seven Nandi Awards. The film was also dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and remade in Hindi.

On the other hand, Nagarjuna is all set for his next release, Manmadhudu 2 that is helmed by Rahul Ravichandran.

Also starring Vennela Kishore, Nassar, Devadarshini, Rao Ramesh, Jhansi and senior actress Lakshmi, Nagarjuna will be seen romancing Rakul Preet Singh in the film.

The movie also has extended cameos by Keerthy Suresh, Akshara Gowda, and Samantha Akkineni.
