Even as Vijay is presently busy completing work on his much-awaited film Bigil now, work on his next film has commenced. The untitled movie is being directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. We hear that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the antagonist in the movie, while Malavika Mohanan will be cast as the female lead.

A source in the know tells a leading publication that the film will be mounting the shooting floor in the month of October, and Malavika Mohanan and Vijay Sethupathi will join the team soon after.

Though there is no official word on it, some industry sources inform that the film is a gangster drama. Music director Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the upcoming film.
