Kunaal Roy Kapur has been a part of some quirkiest Bollywood films over the years. But it will not be an exaggeration to say that he has never got his due in the Hindi film industry. After playing important roles in such notable films as Delhi Belly (2011) and Nautanki Saala (2013), Kunaal Roy Kapur is now heading towards the South Indian film industry.

Yes, according to reports, Kunaal Roy Kapur is set to make his Telugu debut with an upcoming film, tentatively titled Jaan. The movie stars Baahubali star Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. Prabhas and Pooja are working together for the first time ever.

We hear that Kunaal Roy Kapur has already started shooting for the film and has shot some scenes for his part in the period romantic drama. While the makers are keeping mum about his role in the much-awaited movie, some industry insiders inform that it will be a significant one.

As per reports, director Radhakrishna was impressed with the natural acting abilities and versatility of the actor and hence, cast him for an important role in his film. A source in the know informs a publication that Radhakrishna had watched Kapur’s earlier performances, and he felt that he can give a fresh makeover to an important role in the period drama. And when the director approached Kunaal Roy Kapur for the part, the actor was more than welcoming to come onboard.

According to reports, Prabhas is playing a dual role in the movie. He will be seen as the father and son duo. Jaan is a multilingual film, which is simultaneously being shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The makers are yet to announce the official release date of the flick.
