I was least keen on biotic film until…

In facts, Subodh Bhave has never joint a biotic film during 18 years of his career as he doesn’t like the process of making biotic. When some friends call him for Ani... Dr Kashinath Ghanekar, he rejected it right away. However, they insisted Subodh on meeting the director, Abhijeet Deshpande. The moment when Abhijeet told him about the film narration, Subodh Bhave was completely blown away.

Working with a fledgling director

According to Subodh Bhave, it's not a problem whether the director is a new or an experienced filmmaker in the industry. What matters is how passionate and dedicated he is. Abhijeet’s film narration engages me and I can see that he bets his life on the movie. Abhijeet Deshpande has prepared for it for 5 years so far. His incredible vision deserves respect from others.

I have nothing in common with Ghanekar

When being asked about what part is most difficult for him to play Ghanekar, Subodh Bhave stated that he had nothing in common to the character, mentally or physically. In facts, the actor supposes that he opposes to the character in terms of behaviour, nature and work ethics. He doesn't look like Ghanekar, therefore he had to lose 12 kg and wear lens for the role. However, the actor tried to free character out of himself to complete the role. It was challenging for the veteran actor as he has to leave his principles, discipline and work ethics aside.
