Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam needs no introduction! He was an aerospace scientist who also served as the 11th President of India from the year 2002 to 2007. Kalam, who breathed his last in 2015, is also one of the most loved Presidents of India. According to the latest reports, two Telugu filmmakers, Abhishek Aggarwal and Jagdeesh Daneti, have announced two different biopics on Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

Abhishek Aggarwal had announced the biopic in May 2019. He also revealed that he had obtained all the requisite permissions from the family of Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam before announcing the project. The filmmaker was set to bankroll the biopic in association with Anil Sunkara.

However, on Sunday, information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar raised the curtain on the first-look of another biopic based on revered Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Jagadeesh Daneti is directing the film in association with Hollywood stunt choreographer Johnny Martin.

As soon as the news of the new biopic reached to Abhishek Aggarwal, he did not waste any moment in clarifying that the rights to make a film or a documentary on the life of Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam lies with his production house.

Even the Abdul Kalam foundation officially tweeted that they have given rights to Abhishek Aggarwal of AA Arts for making the biopic of APJ Abdul Kalam and that he has taken all official rights, filming or documentary, in any language or poster related to Dr Kalam life. The tweet concluded by saying that taking references of any such information acts will be strictly dealt as per the law.

We think that official tweet is more than enough to prove that Aggarwal and his production house have the rights of the film for all languages.
