"Kalank" Star Alia Bhatt Admits To Begging For Any Roles In SS Rajamouli's "RRR"

Alia Bhatt didn’t hesitate to admit that she had begged for a role in RRR. It’s quite an unusual way for an A-listers, but Alia did it and made it.

Alia Bhatt has gone extra miles from her first day in the industry to become one of the most iconic female superstars of Bollywood. She is having the best years in her career winning triumphs with Gully Boy, Kalank and then the upcoming film Brahmastra. In addition to that, her fans will be thrilled to know that the actress is going to make her debut in Telugu cinema with SS Rajamouli's mega-budget magnum opus RRR.

The Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR will feature Alia in the role of Sita who is in the relationship with Charan. SS Rajamouli confirmed this news in the recent press conference in Hyderabad. Right after finishing the schedule in Hyderabad, the crew is heading up to Delhi and other locations for the rest. Alia will join the cast in Delhi and start shooting her parts.

The Unexpected Opportunity 

While fans are so excited with the news, the actress herself has revealed how she got the golden ticket in one of the most ambitious projects in Telugu. In a recent interview, the Gully Boy actress didn’t hesitate to admit that she had begged for a role in RRR.

Bumping into the director at an airport, she proactively asked for a role (actually any characters he has) in the project. Fortunately, Rajamouli hadn’t decided the female character yet.

It’s quite an unusual way for an A-listers to get a role, but she did it and made it.

SS Rajamouli Is On Her Bucket List Of Directors

Regarding her South debut, Alia Bhatt said that she was preparing for it. The Bollywood actress finds it’s a bit challenging but exciting to learn Telugu as she’s “having fun.”

Anyway, the opportunity to work with a blockbuster filmmaker like SS Rajamouli gets her excited. She has been impressed with his mind-blowing imagination in films from Baahubali and Magadheera to Eega. In addition to that is the strong emotions and compelling stories he has brought to the audience and RRR is a movie like that.
