The Miss world and Diva of Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has given back to back superhits with south filmstars like Mammootty, Rajnikanth and many more. The actress always received a huge response with the fan followers from the south Indian audience.
Though many of us don't know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also shared screen space with Thala Ajith in "Kandukondein" which also featured Tabu in a key role.
Talking about Thala Ajith's stardom, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan told Hindu, “He was so warm and an incredible professional. I’m so happy to see the kind of success and love he is enjoying from his audiences. He deserves it. Though I didn’t have many scenes along with him, I met him on the sets. I also remember meeting his family during the making of Kandukondein. If we ever cross paths again, I’d love to congratulate him on his deserved success.”
The actress is set to join hands with the maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam for Ponniyin Selvan, with whom she delivered Guru, Raavan, and other ventures. Talking about it, she said, “I will confirm that I am doing the film. I am on this journey with him, and it will be an honor to be a part of anything Mani chooses to do ever.”
When asked about the unknown plot of the film, she replied, “I don’t think it will be fair to override Mani sir and speak about the project. He’s my Guru. I started my first film ever (Iruvar) with him, and even though there are such warmth and familiarity in our professional relationship today, it’s his wish to share details with the world whenever he chooses to.”
Meanwhile, Thala Ajith will be next seen in Nerkonda Paarvai, which is the official remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Pink. The cinematography of the film is done by Nirav Shah, who previously cranked the camera for Rajinikanth starrer 2.0.
The music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Interestingly, the film also marks the Tamil debut of Vidya Balan. The film is set to hit the screens on August 8.
