2.0 Box Office Day 1: Akshay – Rajinikanth Starrer Film To Break Records In Many Box Offices.

Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer film 2.0 has opened strong at the domestic box offices. Hindi version collected Rs 20.25 crore even on a mid-week day. Trade analyst of the film Taran Adarsh, in a statement on social media, tweeted that 2.0 still makes a great start even in a non-festival, non-holiday period. He then stressed,
2.0 has been probably the costliest and biggest film produced in India ever since with the budget of up to Rs 550 crore. The cost of distribution and digital rights, satellite accounted for roughly 70%. As per a statement of Ramesh Bala, the trade analyst revealed the film will hit approximately 10500 screens on over the world, be screened in roughly 7000 screens nationwide.
In the South, the sci-fi thriller is having a good performance in the Telugu speaking regions, Tamid Nadu, and even the US. At only Chennai box office, the movie has collected Rs 2.64 crore, slightly higher than the collection of Vijay-starrer film Sarkar earning Rs 2.37 Crore. In Chennai, it officially breaks the record of the highest opening for Tamil cinema.
For the record, Book My Show stated that 2.2 million tickets of 2.0 have been sold already. In Nizam and Andhra Pradesh region, the film has earned Rs 19 crore. It has racked up by far the highest grosses of a Tamil dubbed in Tegulu film so far.
2.0 has collected Rs 4.15 crore at the Kerala box office and it is higher than the previous Rajinikanth-starrer film Kabali. Though it cannot beat Vijay’s film Mersal (4.65 crore) and film Sarkar (5.62 crore).
