Director-producer Zoya Akhtar of the most-awaited movie Gully Boy has recently released one of the theme songs in the movies in which Siddhant and Ranveer in charge of rap.

Gully Boy, an Indian Hindi-language musical drama film, is one of the hottest topics on social media. The movie not only has the direction of the Luck by Chance's director-screenwriter Zoya Akhtar but also receive the co-production of Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions. Gully Boy marked the co-action of the highest-grossing Hindi films Razi's actor Alia Bhatt and the highest-grossing Indian films Simmba's actor Ranveer Singh.

Besides, the film welcomes the excellent performances of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin. Reportedly, Zoya Akhtar and Gully Boy are expected to bring the newest experience to their fans, which no one has done in the Hindi film industry before.

On Jan 21, 2019, Mere Gully Mein, one of the theme songs in Gully Boy was released and received positive reactions from both netizen and critics. In the video clip, Siddhant and Ranveer were seen grooving, headbanging, and rapping in the streets of Mumbai's slums. With the edgy video, the unique rapping of Ranveer and lyrics written by Naezy and DIVINE, the song is absolutely a shot chartbuster. The video has also proved the Unique Selling Point of the filmmaker, together with the two former Asli Hip Hop and Apna Time Aayega. Rapper Naved Shaikh had posted about the song launch and had called it a "Dhamaka!".

After Gully Box's hit the box office, Ranveer will continue to release two more big hits including '83 (10 Apr 2020) and Takht (03 May 2020). Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has five other films will be on the screen including Sadak 2 (25 Mar 2020), Kalank (19 Apr 2019), Shuddhi, and Aashiqui 3. The screen couple will reunite in Takht (by Abhishek Varman), another must-awaited movie in 2020.

Gully Boy is on the screen on February 14, 2019.
