Drake has dethroned Taylor Swift at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards as becoming the most-awarded artist ever in the show.

Drake has dethroned Taylor Swift to become the most-awarded artist ever at Billboard Music Awards. The Scorpion rapper went home with 12 awards out of 17 nominations at the award night including Billboard Top 200 Album, Top Male Artist and Top Artist, taking his total awards up to 27.

At the end of the award show, host Kelly Clarkson also announced the big news. She told the crowd,

Earlier, Taylor Swift held the record for most wins at the show as the 29-year-old singer won a total of 23 awards.

During his many acceptance speeches, the Canadian rapper not only expressed his gratitude to all the colleagues who helped him put the album together but also urged his fellow artists and fans to spread the love and never shy away from telling people how you feel.

Meanwhile, rapper Cardi B, who led the pack with 21 nominations, took home with six awards including Top Rap Female Artist and Top Rap Song. Other winners in the award night included Ariana Grande, who walked away with the award for Top Female Artist, Korean boyband BTS, who won The Top Duo/Group Award, and Ed Sheeran, who picked up Top Touring Artist.
