Ariana Grande took to Instagram to say thanks to the Recording Academy for her very first Grammy Award.

Ariana Grande might state her new release thank u, next to perform at the 61st Grammy awards, though it doesn’t mean the singer isn’t about to rake in the gramophones. For the uninitiated, when the red carpet hasn’t opened yet, Ariana won the award of Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

Even though having disagreements with the Grammy producers, who reportedly did not allow Ariana to perform her hit 7 Rings and chose her second song instead, took to Instagram to say thanks to the Recording Academy for her very first Grammy Award.

The star wrote:

Unfortunately, there might be no hope left for us to see Ariana perform at the show tonight, though her win is still remarkable. The fact is that Sweetener is her fourth studio album, but this is her first Grammy award. Also seen in the nomination were Kelly Clarkson, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, and Pink.
