Franklin funeral Bishop apologizes for touching Ariana Grande

The bishop who officiated Aretha Franklin's funeral has apologized to Ariana Grande for how he touched her onstage, which had sparked an online backlash.

The bishop Charles H. Ellis III apologized for his conduct towards Grande, after he was blamed for contacting her improperly.

Ellis said it could never be his aim to contact any lady's bosom. ... He don't know he figure that he put his arm around her. Possibly he crossed the outskirt, perhaps he was too inviting or natural yet once more. Then he apologized.

He said that he hug all the celebrities include female and male artists. So he hold their hands and gave a hug. That's all. Because they knew that they were in the church and thought about love.

In his meeting with the AP, he additionally apologized Ariana and to her fans and to the whole Hispanic community. He said he basically want to insert some jokes when he is doing a long program.

Grande's agent did not react to this issue.
