Upcoming Indian Movies In 2021 – The Return Of Biggest Stars In Town

2021 is finally here and another busy year for the film industry already kick-starts. If 2020 is said to be a disappointing year with a lot of flops, the next year is way more promising with a lot of hotly anticipated movies. Here is the list of upcoming Indian movies in 2021.

Tribhanga – Jan 15

The new year begins with a new big-budget film starring one of the most prominent divas in B-town, Kajol. The Hindi-language movie will give the audiences a cinematic insight into the social issue.

The film centers on a dysfunctional family with three women and the unconventional choices in their life. It’s set to release on the OTT platform Netflix on January 15.

Alludu Adhurs – Jan 15

Crashing with Bollywood star Kajol’s movie Tribhanga, the film also stars many big names from the South including Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Anu Emmanuel, Nabha Natesh, Sonu Sood and many others.

Sardar Udham Singh – Jan 15

January 15 cannot be more lively with the release of Bollywood heartthrob Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sardar Udham Singh. It’s a biographical drama revolving around the life story of Udham Singh who was a freedom fighter.

The White Tiger – Jan 22

It goes without saying January seems to be one of the busiest months of the year with many hot movies launched in the same month. Starring Adarsh Gourav, the film also features biggies Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao in other prominent roles. Priyanka rarely makes us disappoint with her performance in the film. Even though we rarely see her in Bollywood movies lately, this comeback will become a big hit.

The film will be available on Netflix on January 22.

Bachchan Pandey – Jan 22

The Bollywood action movie Bachchan Pandey is said to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year 2021. Starring superstar Akshay Kumar, Bollywood hot divas Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez, the film has been in the news ever since the first report about it was out.

The film is set to release on January 22, 2021. Reports have it that Bachchan Pandey follows closely its original script written by Samji and Kuttanad.

Atrangi Re – Feb 14

2020 already came to an end and 2021 opens with a lot of hotly awaited movies starring the most sought-after actors. The romantic drama Atrangi Re is the case in point.

Helmed by Aanand L. Rai, the film features South Indian film sensation Dhanush, rising star Sara Ali Khan and biggie Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. Jointly produced by T-Series, Cape of Good Films, and Colour Yellow Productions, the film will release on Valentine’s Day 2021.

Not just this it’s also scheduled for a worldwide release.

Kaadan – March 26

Kaadan is one of the upcoming Indian movies in 2021 that is expected to take the box office by storm. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the film features Rana Daggubati, Vishnu Vishal, Zoya Hussain, Pulkit Samrat, and Shriya Pilgaonkar in the lead roles.

Interestingly, it was shot in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi simultaneously with a slight change in the cast member in each version. The film revolves around the relationship between elephants and humans and is set to release on March 26, 2021.

Bell Bottom – April 2

2021 is predicted to be the year of Akshay Kumar as he has three films releasing within three months. If you are quite familiar with a tough, funny, or romantic image of Akshay in his action, comedy films, you will be stunned by a completely new character in his new film.

Bell Bottom is a spy thriller drama helmed by Ranjit M Tewari. Along with Akshay, the film also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Lara Dutta in other important roles. It will release theatrically on April 2, 2021.

Satyameva Jayate 2 – May 12

The film is the sequel to its 2018 blockbuster Satyameva Jayate. Based on the battle against the misuse of power and injustice, the film is produced by T-series and Emmay Entertainment.

Especially, the second installment of the franchise will have John Abraham. He will reprise his role with Divya Khosla Kumar. The film is set to hit the screens on May 12, 2021.

14 Phere – July 9

The social comedy movie 14 Phere which will release on July 9 is bound to bring good laughs for the audience. Starring Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda, the film is produced by Zee Studios.

Maidaan – Oct 15

Starring Ajay Devgn who was last seen in 2020’s highest-grossing film Tanhaji, the biographical sports drama Maidaan is scheduled to hit the theaters on October 15, 2021.

Helmed by Amit Sharma, the film is inspired by the golden and most successful era of Indian football from 1952 to 1962. Ajay Devgn will step into the gifted football trainer Syed Abdul Rahim. The film release will coincide with Dussehra weekend and promise to be another big hit of the evergreen actor Ajay Devgn. It's bound to be a big gift from the actor for his fans, his audiences. The last months of the year are expected to be successful with the release of Ajay who is one of the most talented actors in town.

The upcoming Indian movies in 2021 are promised to make the year much better. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the release date of these movies might be postponed.
