The movie delivers a well-executed social message which forces us to rethink about various sectors of our country. Mahesh Babu yet again delivers a movie which is backed by his superb acting skills.

Maharshi

Director: Vamshi Paidipally
Cast: Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, Meenakshi Dixit, Prakash Raj, Rajshekhar Aningi,...

Vamshi Paidipally's latest directorial stint Maharshi is breaking all the records at the box office. The movie has already hit the $1 million mark in the US and is continuing to dominate the Indian market too.

The movie and the acting by Mahesh Babu are so impeccable that it feels like as the script was just tailor-made for the actor. The film leaves us with some great social message and leaves us guessing about how we can contribute to the betterment of society.

The movie runs in 3 phases. From an ambitious, young and arrogant CEO at one of the world's best tech company to solving the very native problem of the farmer's community IN India, the movie won't cease to amaze you till the very last moment.

Mahesh Babu has come up with an excellent performance who seamlessly fits in all the roles that the script demanded. From arrogance to simplicity he just glued into the characters to such an extent that it will force us to rethink what are we really watching a fiction movie or is it a biography.

Maharshi starts with the protagonist, Rishi, an ambitious CEO of the company origins and also who don't want to be a failure like his father (Prakash Raj). But even the CEO owes his best friend Ravi played by Allari Naresh. Apparently, his best friend is the reason and also the motivation behind his success. This changes the entire course of the movie when Mahesh Babu understands the depth of the problem and decides to play the savior.

The film forces us to rethink about the roots of our very existence, it makes us realize how important farming community is for our country. Even though there is a strong social message in the film and also a strong performance to back it up, the mass entertainment fillers and dialogues by the director Vamshi Paidipally makes it hard to believe the plot even for 3 hours of runtime.

The entire movie revolves around Mahesh Babu while other characters get very less screen time to no screen time at all. Allari Naresh does a marvelous job playing Rishi, and Pooja Hegde plays Pooja with a very less screen time that almost feels like her role was force-fed into the movie to have a female protagonist. Other actors like Jayasudha, Rajeev Kanakala, Kamal Kamaraju, Rao Ramesh, Anish Kuruvilla, Jagapathi Babu, too play their role perfectly.
