The teaser of Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas starrer Saaho has caused a stir on the internet since it was released. The flick, which took about 2 years to finish, has made headlines for its uniqueness, gripping storyline, and action-packed sequences. Another thing that has grabbed everyone’s attention is the two main leads’ salaries in the movie.
Speculations had been making the rounds that Shraddha Kapoor has received a whopping amount of Rs 7 crore for her role in Saaho. However, according to a recent report by Deccan Chronicle, Shraddha is actually paid Rs 3 crore and this hyped salary is in the PR team’s plan to help the actress to increase her reputation in Bollywood.
The source further said that Katrina Kaif, who was the first choice for the role, decided to turn down the project because the makers could not meet her demand.
In addition, Saaho has got embroiled into controversy as its posters are accused of copying other films’ posters such as Ready Player One, Breaking Bad, Oblivion and Blade Runner 2048.
Saaho, which was made with a huge budget of Rs 350 crore, is helmed by Sujeeth and is all set to hit the cinema on August 30. Apart from Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas, the action thriller also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar and Jackie Shroff in the significant roles.
The film will be released in four languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
