Box Office Prediction: Kartik Aaryan’s “Pati Patni Aur Woh” To Win Sanjay Dutt’s “Panipat”

On December 6^th, the audience will witness the ticket battle between two strong opponents: Panipat and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Ahead of the fierce battle, we will give a box office prediction based on the real status of both films.

Panipat stars Arjun Kapoor in the main character as Sadashiv Rao, Kriti Sanon in the female lead while Sanjay Dutt plays the role of an antagonist named Ahmad Shah Abdali. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan will essay the role of a man standing amongst his love triangle with his wife (by Bhumi Pednekar) and another woman (by Ananya Panday) in Pati Patni Aur Woh (remake of the original in 1978).

Earlier in 2019, Kartik was seen together with Kriti Sanon and Luka Chuppi in a hit but now they become opponents at the ticket collection. Nevertheless, the rom-com Pati Patni Aur Woh is awaited to jump a bit higher than Panipat thanks to its theatre screen counts and young generation attraction. Film analyst Girish Johar said that Panipat would start its run at about Rs 5.5 to 6.5 crore while the other would reach about Rs 2 crore higher than that.

This box office prediction indicates a figure similar to Mubarakan which also featured Arjun Kapoor in 2017. Whereas the actor’s previous hit did open its glamorous collection with Rs 5.16 crore, Panipat may also reach the same on its opening day. According to some reports, Kartik’s film will go on floors in around 2200 theaters tomorrow that Panipat keeps a more modest figure of 1700 theatres.

The film critic showed that Panipat’s length may affect the assumption of ticket sales as it lasts nearly three hours. A romantic comedy would attract more audiences than historical films so at least Pati Patni Aur Woh wins an advantage. But above all, the two films will show off all the nice performance tomorrow. Let’s wait to see a big crash at the box office!
