“50 First Dates” In Real Life, Woman Repeatedly Forgets Her Partner Whenever She Is Too Happy

Megan Jackson (21) who is a household name on the video-sharing platform TikTok suffers from a rare condition in which she will forget her partner repeatedly.

A horrifying condition

The TikTok star has seizures which cause her to lose her memories temporarily whenever she feels too happy. This condition has been affected every aspect of her life. She isn’t allowed to watch sitcoms as they are likely to make her laugh too much.

The social media star is unable to get surprising news because it can lead to memory lapses.

Her girlfriend Tara Sorkin turns out to be extremely sympathetic. She has been patiently written a diary for Jackson, shown her photos, and even played the favorite songs of the two to help her bring the memories back.

Many of the happiest moments in her life were ruined by this condition. She said,

“It’s so depressing. I have seizures pretty much every day.”

The first symptoms

When Megan was 17 years old, she was rushed to A&E (emergency department) after having around 35 seizures per day. Some left her unable to talk or walk completely.

A neurologist diagnosed her with FND (functional neurological disorder). She was then offered CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). However, Megan also soon realized that it would surely fail as she would forget the session.

The devastating reality when having this condition happening to Megan is her relationships. Her partner can never bring her any surprise or present.

She had to leave her jobs because her condition got worse and that’s why she decided to launch her Tiktok. It now has over 280k followers.
