What to do on Vijaya Ekadashi?
The event is observed in worship and dedication to Lord Vishnu. All the devotees will seek the blessings of Lord Vishu deity with the hope of killing difficult times and obstacles and enabling wellbeing, victory, prosperity, success, and forgiveness. By doing so people believe that it might destroy inauspiciousness.
The devotees typically wake up earlier than usual in the morning of Vijaya Ekadashi or any other Ekadashis. They will then bathe and clean the residence and gear up for a Puja.
Vrat, fast both have a specific time. The fast is usually kicked off the night before the official Ekadashi, it’s considered like a curtain-raiser event. Meanwhile, the Vrat is on the day post the Ekadashi. The fasting also includes some specific dishes and specific rules. However, those who have medical problems are advised to get consult before fasting.
