Coronavirus is spread like wildfire and the number of cases confirmed positive in the United Stated has increased to more than 1000. However, President Donald Trump hasn’t been tested for Covid-19 despite the fact that he was in close contact with many lawmakers who are currently self-quarantining because of their proximity to those who are positive with the virus, stated by White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham.
Also earlier in the day, Vice President Mike Pence, who takes charge of the administration’s Covid-19 task force, also expressed his concern over the exact virus status of Trump. He said he really doesn't know whether President had been tested and they will give the public the answer soon from the White House physician.
According to reports, Trump was asked whether he has been tested, though he didn’t answer and left the briefing room before any response to the question.
For those who are unversed, Trump shook hands with one of two Republican members of Congress who recently announced that they would self-quarantine because of the close proximity to people diagnosed with coronavirus.
Meanwhile, earlier on 9 March, the 45th president took to Twitter to open up on the Coronavirus outbreak. He said that nothing is shut down and life and the economy still go on after giving the evidence of the number of Americans who died from the common flu. Because, according to him, America witnessed only 546 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 22 deaths.
On the other hand, Donald Trump is all set to have his re-election in November 2020 and the spread of Coronavirus is hands down the biggest threat of the President. The fear of sharp drops in stock market, crashing oil prices, office, and school closures, and many economy-related issues make some Trump supporters concern that if this virus triggers a fresh financial crisis, then it can hurt Donald Trump’s bid for his second term deeper than any other political tests he has ever faced so far.
