The premiere of the movie Aquaman starring the American actor Jason Momoa is fast approaching in India. The producer made a decision to release Aquaman in Asia, including India, a whole week prior to its first night in the United States. Its early release in China has beaten a number of box office receipts’ records in this populous country.

With success in the Conjuring Universe franchise, James Wan became Aquaman's director. He is a director of exceptional talent in the horror film genre.

Aquaman is one of the DC universe’s citizens. However, he is unpopular in comparison with other superheroes in the Trinity series by DC Comics such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

Jason has accomplished his mission successfully when creating a strong Arthur Curry, different from the character's previous weak image.

Arthur Curry is the son of a lighthouse keeper and the aquatic world Atlantis’s princess. In the film, he gets involved in the fierce battle between the aquatic nation and the surface one waged by King Orm, his half-brother.

With support from Nuidis Vulko, Atlantis' counsellor, Aquaman, and Mera, King Nereus’s daughter make a journey to find the Neptune’s Trident. It’s a weapon to help them vanquish two villains, King Orm, and Black Manta. Black Manta is a ruthless high seas mercenary holding a private grudge against Arthur.

In addition to Jason Momoa, Aquaman also features the actress Amber Heard as Mera and the actor Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko. Besides, two actors Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II play the anti-heroes King Orm and Black Manta respectively.

Aquaman hits Indian theatres on December 14.
