The ‘best dresser’ at Oscars this year may have-your-eye-out! Take a look!

American artist Billy Porter had shocked entire the Academy Awards this year when he walked down the red carpet in strapless ball gown dress mixed with a black tuxedo. According to the report, this ‘unique design’ from Christian Siriano.

The off-shoulder velvet dress matched with the ruffle wrist blouse and the black vest defied fashion norms in a way.

Talking about his boundary-pushing outfit, Billy Porter said: “I got the call to do the red carpet for ABC, and I thought, this is the space to create the conversation of what is masculine? What is feminine? What is everything in between?”

“Why is it a woman can wear pants and nobody bats an eye and a man wears a dress and people are disgusted? Why is that? What is that saying in our culture? Man is better and female is disgusting? I just wanted to shatter that. Just shatter that. That’s why we did it, and Christian was on board”, he further added.

Billy Porter, born in 1969, is a pop singer and actor, and well-known after Anastasia, The humbling, The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy… He won Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical in 2013.
