The ranking of Kylie Jenner is even higher than other stars that have formerly appeared on such list of Forbes in the previous years. The brand Kylie Cosmetics of her has just established for two years yet it has achieved great success. The lip-kit empire helped Kylie earn $166.5 million within Forbes’ scoring period from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018. That number padded Kylie $900 million fortune, making her the highest paid and wealthiest under-30 celebrity.
Ed Sheeran
The second place is taken by Ed Sheeran, whose haul was of $110 million. The 27-year-old British singer made money mostly from worldwide arena tour but earned a heavy sum from billions of songs streams.
Neymar
Making it to top three is the Brazilian football star Neymar with the income of $90 million. Neymar signed a contract with Paris-Saint Germain in a 5-year time and the return Neymar will collect from it will be $350 million. The footballer also has other lucrative deals with Nike, Red Bull, and other brands outside the pitch. Reportedly, Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain have come to an agreement where the star will leave the team for a fee of €200 million.
Taylor Swift
Most of the under-30 stars having the highest paid are athletes. Specifically, the list consists of one reality star, Kylie Jenner, four musicians and five athletes. The total earnings of these celebrities make up the total value of $723 million in 12 months, before taxes and fees.
There are only two women on the list and Kylie Jenner is one of them. Due to the fact that the list is an imbalance with 85% of the list being male members, it reflects the pay gap between genders which is hardly limited to entertainment. In 2017, to a dollar that a man earns, women of the U.S made only 82 cents.
The other woman belongs in the top 10 is the infamous singer, songwriter Taylor Swift. The income of Taylor was $80 million within Forbes’ scoring period. That was because of the triumph of her latest album Reputation, which is the bestselling album of the singer in 2018, and the sold-out tour of the same name. Recently, Taylor and Universal Music Group signed a new record contract that is probably worth as much as $200 million. If Swift out-earns her advances, she will undoubtedly top the list.
Canelo Alvarez
Another celebrity who has been gaining larger earnings is Canelo Alvarez. He is a Mexican professional boxer and makes money by every view he gets for every match, perhaps he’s the biggest pay-per-view athlete at the moment. After Floyd Mayweather retired, the 28-year-old earned $44.5 million for his high-profile fight with Gennady Golovkin. The fight generated 1.3 million pay-per-view buys.
Moreover, Canelo will possibly become the world’s highest-paid sports player next year after he signs a contract for 5 years with DAZN, a sports streaming services. 11 fights are included in the contract and it’s worth at least $365 million, which makes up $33 million for a fight on average. Combining two DAZN fights, Alvarez’s payout for Golovkin match and some million dollars generated from endorsements, the total value of money the star earned will be a minimum of $120 million within 12 months.
19 people were under 30 years old out of 100 highest-paid stars all over the world. However, these young cohorts are putting their more experienced fellows on a race of money.
