Emilia Clarke, the star of "Game of Thrones" has recently shared some stories of her fight against the brain aneurysms in 2011 and some photos taken when she was in the hospital.

Emilia Clarke, the "Queen of Dragons" in HBO's big hit series Game of Thrones, recently shared some photos back in 2011 when she was battling with a brain aneurysm. It's a life-threatening disease and now she has revealed some of the pictures taken when she was receiving medical treatment in the hospital.

According to the actress, the second aneurysm almost took away her life, and now that she’s 32 and looking back at that time, it still feels so scary. Emilia Clarke lately appeared on CBS Sunday Morning and shared her story of fighting against the illness day by day.

Emilia also shared that her character in Game of Thrones helped her become stronger and survive the disease. She said acting on TV became the thing that just saved her from considering her own mortality. During an interview with The New Yorker, Emilia said that after shooting for GoT’s first season, she got the first brain aneurysm while she was working out at the gym.

Game Of Thrones star also described it to be “the most excruciating pain,” “like an enormous amount of pressure suddenly.” Emilia was immediately taken to the hospital where she was diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage, which is bleeding on the brain.

The actress revealed some of the pictures taken when she was recovering at the hospital. Despite being heartbreaking to look at, they’re the proofs that Emilia is a strong survivor who fought and overcame the deadly disease. She will return on the small screens in the role of Daenerys Targaryen in GoT’s final season.
