Another awards season is underway. Recently, the nominations list of 93rd Oscars was unveiled in 23 different categories.

The Oscar nomination list includes some new faces.

The ceremony was initially set to take place on 28 February 2021. However, because of the ongoing pandemic, this year's Oscars show was postponed. Like Grammys 2021, the 93rd annual show will also take place in-person but in different locations on 25 April.

Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield & Viola Davis are nominated for Oscars 2021

The 32-year-old British actor Daniel Kaluuya whose breakthrough role came in 2017 with the film Get Out is nominated for Oscars 2021.

He becomes the nominee of The Best Actor In A Supporting Role award for his role as Fred Hampton in Judas and the Black Messiah.

Lakeith Stanfield

Another young actor who also finds himself on the nomination list this year is Lakeith Stanfield. Interestingly, not just Daniel Kaluuya, his fellow co-star Lakeith is also nominated in the same category, The Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his role as William O’Neal, an FBI informant in the same film Judas and the Black Messiah.

Viola Davis

The senior American actress and producer Viola Davis is nominated for The Best Actress In A Leading Role for her performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom where she shared the screen space with Chadwick Boseman. The film also turned out to be a goodbye of the late actor Boseman to his audiences.
