Katrina Kaif Set For An Item Song In “Gangubai Kathiawadi”?

Katrina Kaif, who was last seen in Bharat (2019) alongside superstar Salman Khan, is doing an item song in celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s underproduction directorial offering, Gangubai Kathiawadi. This is not something that we are saying. Several media outlets have reported recently that the gorgeous actress is set to do an item number in the forthcoming film, but all this is untrue.

Reports of Katrina Kaif doing an item number in Gangubai Kathiawadi, which stars Alia Bhatt in the title role, started doing the rounds when she was seen dropping in at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office last week. The rumour mill swung into action, concluding that Katrina Kaif will be doing an item song in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

However, sources in the know has a different story to tell. A source informs a popular publication that just because Katrina met SLB, she is dancing in Gangubai Kathiawadi is too much. For the information of the gossip mongers, Katrina has met SLB on other occasions in the past. In fact, way back in the days when she was new to the film industry, Salman Khan took her to SLB for a possible role in Bajirao Mastani (2015). But SLB rejected her for Bajirao Mastani. She met him again two years ago, and now they will be working, though not in a film directed by SLB. He will be producing a film starring Katrina Kaif.

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Sooryavanshi with superstar Akshay Kumar. The film reunites the two stars after a huge gap of a decade as they were last seen together in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan (2010). The trailer of Sooryavanshi has garnered outstanding response from the audience. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie is scheduled to enter theatres on 24^th March 2020.
