While beauty is highly cultural, cringe-worthy trends transcend all boundaries. However, there are some weird makeup trends you need to give a pass.

Thanks to the ever-growing amount of makeup artists on Instagram, these stunts can captivate the Internet for a moment and bring the entire beauty community together, if just for a day or two, to argue about the latest freaky beauty trends. Beauty videos and makeup hack videos are becoming popular and have flooded the Internet. Some of them are pleasing and adaptable while not few of them are just so weird and bizarre.

Here are some of the most bizarre beauty trends currently circulating on social media. But considering the way trends go, these could be out of style just as fast as they came in style.

Weird eyebrow trends

Women often lay a lot of emphasis on their eyebrows. This helps in creating a gorgeous and alluring look. However, some beauty gurus take it too far with a variety of dramatic and weird brows which are nothing short of bizarre. Halo eyebrows, feather eyebrows, braided brows, wavy eyebrows, fishtail brows or McDonald's brow are some of the most controversial eyebrows trends so far.

Nose hair extensions

It may sound ridiculous, but alas — it’s true. Nose hair extensions have been trendy on Instagram since 2017, and while the idea began as a joke, it’s going places. It started when an Instagrammer named @gret_chen_chen posted pictures in which she used eyelash extensions on her nostrils.

Unconventional nail-art

Nail art is crazy about the aesthetic of nails. However, the nail trend has made a buzz since nail artists used insects on nails. Some unconventional trends hit headlines included a manicure resembling teeth complete with cavities or egg on the nail.

Over-the-top hair

Hairstyles can highlight or break your look. "Flower vase hair" trend which a bunch of flowers is inserted into hair creatively makes your head look like a flower vase. Another hair trend divided the Internet with half-long, half-short hair. Does it look more like a jellyfish or a fancy lampshade?

Crooked eyelashes

Thick mascara has long been one of the biggest make-up gaffes many people can commit. However, recently it has emerged as a viral trend. One artist takes dead flies legs and attaches them onto the eye for what she aptly called ‘flylashes.' The crooked and bent lashes are glued onto the eye and are meant to look like luscious eyelashes. People also prefer to put glitter or colored mascara for their eyes.
