Hold Your Breath! Deepika Padukone Channels Victorian Fashion On Harper’s Bazaar US Cover

If there's one actress who is known for her screen choices as much as for her fashion picks, it has to Deepika Padukone. A star in her own might, Deepika continues to challenge stereotypes with not just her films, but also with her fashion choices.

Recently, she has now featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar US, which has called her:

Taking to her Instagram, Deepika shared a plethora of pictures featuring her in black, red and orange ensembles.

Deepika made sure she gave us enough reasons for the rest of the year to believe why deserved to crack BoF’s list of the 500 most influential people in fashion.

Lady in red! With a magnificent English mansion in the background, Deepika donned a red off-the-shoulder trail silhouette gown looking like the world’s most charming princess. The oversized bell sleeves give a baggy feel to the look but the diva still looks elegant.

Sharing Deepika's cover on Instagram, Harper’s Bazaar magazine wrote:

Dark opulent tones and textures to accompany this beautiful shoot, florals and couture brought together. The leggy class can be seen wearing a jet black victorian silhouette dress designed by Rosie Assoulin with a halter neckline. Along with the gown, Padukone is also wearing black mesh gloves which are perfectly adding to the look.

Donning an ensemble black collection, Deepika looked absolutely stunning as she slays our hearts. Combining a jacket, dress, and top from Simone Rocha with Alexander McQueen boots and Cartier hoop earrings, Deepika Padukone threw a vogue look for the lens.

Channeling Goth romance vibes, Deepika can be seen playing with all black, deep red, and chain mail gloves.

In one pic, Deepika was looking gorgeous sporting a red gown adorned with pink and black detailing. Soon after looking at Deepika's intense gaze, Ranveer commented, "This is the “Is this any time to come home?” glare."

In her interview with the magazine, Deepika at length about becoming a Bollywood star, dealing with depression and also her marriage with Ranveer Singh.

When asked about why the couple decided not to live together before getting married, Deepika said that it was important to her.

Deepika also talked about how her mother was the first to know about her depression in 2014. She said she broke down in front of her one day.

Deepika Padukone talked her first big break and her stratospheric rise to fame. 

On the work front, Deepika will be seen next in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, co-starring Vikrant Massey. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She will also be seen in Kabir Khan's sports drama '83 co-starring her hubby Ranveer Singh.
