Varun Dhawan was a winning streak at the box office until the big-budget but big flop period drama "Kalank". Here's what the actor has reacted to its failure.

Varun Dhawan had made his acting debut with 2012 romantic comedy Student of the Year and since then, his success rate was 100 percent with 11 back-to-back hits until Kalank. Though Varun admitted being affected by the failure of Kalank, he called it an important learning experience and moved on to not repeat the same mistakes.

Kalank is probably the first big failure in Varun's career so far, and the actor says that he was hit hard by the disappointing performance of the film. However, it couldn't bog him down and he is looking forward to his new projects.

For the uninitiated, Kalank had a good start at the box office, collecting Rs 20 crores on opening day. It also became the biggest opener in the careers of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. But the film could not maintain the momentum, and soon saw a decline in revenue and turned out a big flop at the box office.
