Gulabo Sitabo will be Shoojit Sircar’s second collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana. The award-winning filmmaker launched Khurrana in Bollywood with his 2011 film Vicky Donor. He then joined forces with Senior Bachchan for his 2015 directorial Piku, also starring Deepika Padukone in the lead role.

Written by well-known screenwriter Juhi Chaturvedi, Gulabo Sitabo brings Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana together for the first time. Both actors are known for their brilliant acting abilities and that makes this new venture even more exciting.

Shoojit Sircar has teamed up with his frequent collaborators Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar to bankroll the project. According to reports, the team is planning to begin production next month in Lucknow. The film will buzz into theatres in November this year.

Talking about screenwriter Juhi Chaturvedi, who has written a majority of his films, Shoojit says the new project has her trademark quirk.
