Television actor Karan Oberoi known for his role in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin has been arrested by Mumbai police for an alleged rape case.

In shocking news, television actor Karan Oberoi, best known for playing Raghav in popular Hindi show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, has been arrested for connection with raping and blackmailing a woman.
Some reports stated that Karan Oberoi had blackmailed a woman for money. The two met on a dating app in 2016, and then they started dating each other. In the report, the woman accused the actor of raping her on the pretext of marrying her. The actor-model even filmed the act and demanded money from the victim threatening to release the video if she did not pay up.
The accuser filed an FIR at the Oshiwara Police station in Mumbai after which the Police took immediate action and arrested Karan Oberoi in the morning today, on May 6. The actor has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rape, extortion, threatening and causing hurt through poison. Karan has been sent to police custody till May 9 by a Mumbai Court.
