We already entered the second half of the year 2019, and maybe it’s time to look back at the ups-and-downs first half with several box office flops and many record-breaking blockbusters.
It’s undeniable that the audiences were treated with a host of films, out of which, only selective films could manage to connect with the mass. Recently, Bollywood Life ran a poll of Best Film where the viewers can vote for their go-to movies.
The results are finally out, and the winner is none other than Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh which is taking the whole box office by storm. Along with Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directorial film, Ranveer Singh-starrer Gully Boy, Akshay Kumar’s Kesari, and Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. Here is the detail!
Kabir Singh - 49%
Not just the box office collection itself proves how much Kabir Singh is loved by the audiences, but also the percentage of the poll. With nearly half of the votes from fans, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer film has emerged victorious and become the best film of the first half of 2019. The film is also doing wonders at the box offices despite the mixed reviews from the critics.
Uri: The Surgical Strike - 20%
Bagging the 2nd spot on the poll, Vicky Kaushal’s film has established it as a force to be reckoned with. Releasing on 11 January, the film was considered as a treat for the viewers after back-to-back failures.
Kesari - 18%
Ranking 3rd is Akshay Kumar’s Kesari with 18 percent of votes. The film evoked a sense of patriotism and followed the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, which is a battle between the British Indian Army and Afghan troops.
Gully Boy - 13%
Unfortunately, Zoya Akhtar-directorial film Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt received the least percentage of votes.
