The film Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan witnessed an improvement in the advance ticket booking after a slight decrease.
In spite of the mixed reviews from the critics, Zero has been already released. The film is a story revolving around Bauua Singh (played by SRK) who has trouble in finding a marriage partner. Also, Zero owns two prominent names in Bollywood, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif whose important roles in Zero's promoting events along with SRK. Anushka Sharma played a NASA scientist with cerebral palsy while Katrina Kaif was an alcoholic Bollywood superstar. Reportedly, SRK encouraged his fans to buy tickets in advance.
The Boxofficeindia.com reported that Zero's advance ticket booking didn't receive a positive signal on the very first days. Nonetheless, the scenario has changed due to some dancing video launched by the producer. Meanwhile, Thugs of Hindostan (by Vijay Krishna Acharya) and Tiger Zinda Hai (by Ali Abbas Zafar) got much more advance booking tickets. Thugs of Hindostan got Rs 50 crore and won the highest rank for the biggest Bollywood opening.
Akshaye Rathi, a famous film exhibitor had shared, "The film should earn around Rs 30 crore on its opening day. After the third day, where the movie will head to, will purely depend on the merit of its content. If it’s a good film, it will cross the 100 crore mark in three days. If it turns out to be a disappointing film like Thugs of Hindostan which after an opening of Rs 50 crore fell to more than 50 percent on the second day, let’s hope this doesn’t happen in this case. Aanand should create his magic yet again and make the audiences come to the cinemas."
“Thugs of Hindostan released day after Diwali, the biggest day for movie business. That was a national holiday. Zero is releasing on a regular working Friday. Not only this, the significant Kannada film KGF is also releasing on the same day and will take substantial number of screens and shows. So, even that makes a difference,” he added.
